The International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) is seeking nominations for the position of Director of Professional Standards, an elected role on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. This is a unique opportunity for a member who is passionate about excellence in training, certification and professional development to contribute to the future of our global transactional analysis (TA) community.

The Director of Professional Standards plays a vital leadership role within the association, overseeing the relationship between the ITAA and the International Board of Certification (IBOC) and helping ensure that certification and training activities are carried out in accordance with established standards and agreements. The role also works closely with the Professional Standards Committee (PSC) in supporting and developing training standards for ITAA members worldwide.

Among other responsibilities, the director:

• Serves as the liaison between the IBOC, PSC, Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
• Supports the ongoing management and governance of certification processes.
• Helps ensure that examinations, Training Endorsement Workshops (TEWs) and related activities are delivered effectively, both online and onsite.
• Coordinates with committee leaders and the finance director on planning and operational matters.
• Represents the ITAA and the IBOC on the TA World Council of Standards (TAWCS).
• Reports on professional standards activities to both the board and the membership.
• Contributes to the ongoing development and maintenance of training and certification standards across the association.

We are looking for a member who enjoys collaboration, leadership and strategic thinking, and who has an interest in maintaining and advancing high standards in TA training and certification. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication and the ability to work constructively with committees and volunteers are all important qualities for this role.
