I nominate Sai for the 2026 Muriel James Award with heartfelt respect, born of both admiration from afar and the privilege of working alongside her.
I have looked up to Sai as a role model in the Transactional Analysis (TA) community since 2015, admiring her presence and leadership across the different divisions of the South Asian Association of Transactional Analysts (SAATA).
From 2020 onward, I had the privilege of working more closely with her in SAATA. This allowed me to see her leadership through a new lens—one that reveals her deep commitment, strength, and potency in every role she takes on.
Since then, I have experienced Sai in many capacities: as a supervisor during my oral exams, as a colleague, and as a fellow mother. I will never forget a simple yet profound moment when, during a conversation, she slipped off the ring she wore inscribed with “I am enough” and said, “Give it to your daughter.” That gesture, filled with generosity and meaning, captured for me the depth of how she lives her values in everyday ways.
I have also witnessed her courage in sharing her own story in the service of others, and I have seen her embody her values consistently. Whether in her “yes” or in her “no,” Sai lives the spirit of OKness in how she relates to herself and to others.
By living her values so fully, Sai offers a profound and empowering permission for others to do the same. I have personally felt the strength of her clarity and boundaries, yet I have never seen her waver from her commitment to OKness.
It is with great respect and wholehearted conviction that I endorse Sai for the 2026 Muriel James Award.
