The International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) is accepting candidacies for the role of General Secretary, a central administrative position for the 2026–2029 term.
The ITAA Nominations Committee has issued a specific call for members to fill the seat of General Secretary on the Board of Trustees. As the association prepares for its next cycle of governance, this role is prioritized to ensure administrative continuity and adherence to the organization’s bylaws over the coming three years.
While the current election cycle includes vacancies for President-Elect and regional directors, the General Secretary position remains a focal point for the association's internal operations.
Members interested in assuming this three-year mandate must finalize their applications by January 25, 2026, at 11:00 PM PST (23:00 UTC).
To qualify, applicants must strictly adhere to the association’s election protocols. This includes signing the "Rules for Candidates Seeking Election," a mandatory document available via the ITAA website.
Candidates are required to submit a digital photograph and a written statement of no more than 250 words outlining their vision and qualifications. These materials must be sent directly to the Nominations Committee Chair, Rema Giridhar, at general-secretary@itaaworld.com before the deadline.
Further details regarding the General Secretary role and the nomination process are outlined in the November 2025 issue of The Script.
