IBOC announces live exam dates for New Zealand and UK

The 2026-2027 schedule adds in-person events to the two annual online sessions.

The International Board of Certification (IBOC) is pleased to announce that it will organize live exam events in 2026 and 2027, in addition to its two annual online exams.

The scheduled live events are:

Wellington, New Zealand (NZ)

  • Dec. 3-4, 2026: Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (TSTA) exams
  • Dec. 7-9, 2026: Training Endorsement Workshop (TEW)

Suffolk, United Kingdom (UK)

  • July 27-29, 2027: CTA and TSTA exams

Exact exam dates and application deadlines are available in the exam calendar on the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) webpage.

IBOC thanked the respective hosts for helping to broaden exam opportunities in alignment with its principles of respecting diverse needs and promoting inclusion. As the Asian Pacific Transactional Analysis (TA) community is continuously expanding, holding exams in this region is a direct response to the growing number of candidates. Colleagues will have the chance to join an international workshop during the weekend between the exams and the TEW. Additionally, an introductory TA 101 course may be offered.

The exam venue in Suffolk during summer 2027 will be a farm, providing an opportunity for outdoor exams, with sufficient shelter to reduce the risk of weather disruption. This builds on a successful 2023 pilot, during which IBOC conducted five CTA exams and one STA exam on farmland. The board and the hosting team are preparing for this new environment, viewing it as an excellent way to bring the IBOC principles of inclusion and environmental awareness to life. It also offers everyone a chance to connect with nature, which is especially beneficial for colleagues with neurodivergent needs.

The exams will take place just before the well-established EdFest, a festival celebrating educational TA. If you are interested in being part of EdFest, please write to edfest22@gmail.com.
